Trex composite gives the homeowner a deck surface that holds its color through Pennsylvania summers without resealing. The pressure-treated pergola was framed in the same build sequence, so post spacing, roof line, and stair landing read as one structure rather than two added-on projects.

Project Notes
The herringbone pattern at the front walk sets the rhythm for everything else: tighter joint lines toward the steps, broader beds along the sides, and a perennial border tuned to the home's period palette. Nothing here is improvised — each row of brick is laid against the same string line that guided the bed lines.

At our nursery on Ridge Road in New Hope, we cultivate perennials, ornamental grasses, and flowering shrubs specifically selected for Bucks County's soil and climate. Every plant is hardened outdoors through at least one full Pennsylvania season before it goes into your landscape.
The result? Stronger root systems, better first-year growth, and a landscape that establishes faster and lasts longer. It also means we can offer varieties you won't find at any garden center — plants chosen for your specific site conditions, light exposure, and design vision.

Our Story
Cultural Landscapes started with a simple belief: outdoor spaces should be built with the same care and craft as the homes they surround. What began as a small crew and a lot of ambition has grown into one of Bucks County's most trusted hardscape and landscape design firms.
We're still a family operation. Our crews are year-round employees, not seasonal subcontractors. They take pride in their work because they see it every day — in their own neighborhoods, on their drives to the next job. That accountability is something you can't outsource.
Our farm and nursery on Ridge Road is where we grow the plants that go into your landscape. It's also where we test new varieties, experiment with combinations, and develop the horticultural knowledge that sets our designs apart.
